Going digital
  There are many advantages of using a digital format for recording. Digital files are portable, easier to store, easier to search, and they give you a much higher quality end-product. Digital files can be conveniently transferred to any computer system for archiving, transcribing, or editing. You can even synchronize a digital media file to your transcript!

Choosing your equipment
You may want to use different equipment for your digital recording in different situations. The types of equipment you choose will affect the quality of the recording. It can also save you a lot of time on transcribing or proofreading in the production stage.
Using a foot pedal
Expericed typists can expand their skills by using the Infinity foot pedal attachment. Using the foot pedal can speed up the transcription processr.
